Who operates this site

This site is operated by Jooule ApS (Denmark, CVR 49367546), the company behind Jooule POS. Its US entity is now formed: Jooule LLC, New York, at 41 State Street, Suite 112, Albany, NY 12207, United States.

How the site uses information

• Fonts are served by us. This site does not load its fonts from a third-party font service.
• Log in and Connect lead to your restaurant. They check the restaurant’s Jooule address with our server, remember its address part on your device after a successful check, and open that restaurant’s manager page. The marketing site does not create a visitor account.
• We handle your demo request. The form details are stored by us and sent through Telegram so we can respond.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses a cookie and local storage for your language, restaurant address and privacy choices. These functions are separate from permission for analytics or advertising.

Necessary site cookie

Remembers your language after you switch languages or dismiss the language suggestion, for up to 365 days. It is a host-only cookie: it is sent to our server with requests to the current host and is not configured for other subdomains.

Necessary local storage

Log in and Connect check the restaurant address with our server. After a successful check, the restaurant-address part is remembered on your device and the browser opens that restaurant’s manager page. There is no programmed expiry: a later address replaces it, and clearing site data removes it. The check does not create a visitor record containing your restaurant address on our server.

No analytics or advertising tools are configured in this version of the site, so none are loaded.

Your privacy choices

There are no configured analytics or advertising tools to choose in this version of the site. Clear this site’s data in your browser settings to remove the saved language and restaurant address.

The demo form

When you send the form, we store exactly what it asks for:

• your name, your restaurant’s name, your phone number;
• city & state and email, if you chose to give them;
• the consent sentence you ticked, verbatim, with its version (“I agree that Jooule may call or text me at this number about my request. Text STOP to any message to opt out.” · us-demo-form-2026-08-20) — so the record shows which words you agreed to;
• your IP address and browser identifier (abuse control), the serving host, and a timestamp.

The form is rate-limited by IP and carries a honeypot field; submissions that trip either are not stored. A notification with your name, restaurant, city, phone, email and the time — never your IP, never your browser identifier — is sent to the founder over Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC, servers outside the US), so we can call you back.

We use what you sent to call or text you back about your request — that is the whole purpose. Text STOP to any message from us and texting stops.

Where the data lives, and for how long

The database runs on a server rented from [Hosting provider and server country — to be confirmed]. The demo-request flow does not automatically delete a request when a demo is booked or declined.

Restaurant guests’ data

Jooule POS processes ordering data — menus, orders, payments records, guest phone numbers where guests provide them — on behalf of the restaurants that use it, under separate agreements with those restaurants. For that data the restaurant decides; we process. A data-processing agreement is available to any customer on request.

Your rights

Write to hello@jooule.com to see, correct or delete what you sent us — deletion requests are honoured except where a record must be kept (for example, that you opted out). This site is not directed at children.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it — the date is hand-set and claims a person reviewed the words, never a deployment.
