Your card processing stays yours.
Cards are taken on the terminal you already run, and the register records each payment once staff confirm it. We are not a processor, and we never take a cut of your card volume.

Bring your own processor
Keep your processor and the rates you negotiated. Nothing about Jooule requires switching.

Split the check with a clear balance
Split a table’s check evenly or by amount. Jooule checks each payment against the recorded balance and refuses to record more than the check total.
Questions we hear
Do we have to switch processors?
No. We’re not a processor: your card machine, your processor, your rates.
Can guests pay from their phones?
Not in the US: guests ask for the check from the phone and pay at the table or the counter.
What if the terminal approves and the register doesn’t record it?
The payment screen stays open and tells staff not to charge again. “Try again” retries the payment record in Jooule.
Can we record refunds in the register?
Yes. Choose the original payment, amount and reason. Return cash separately, or refund the card on your terminal; recording it in Jooule does not move the money.
